In this offer you will have the opportunity to learn and create the well-known vejigante masks made of coconut bark that are distinguished in the town of Loíza by the hand of the Loíza artisan Wilcelino Pizarro (Celele) and the young guides of the Heritage Tourism Program.

You will learn about the origin of the vejigantes and how these, together with their mysticity, have prevailed in the culture of Loice. You will be the artist in charge of carving, assembling and painting the vejigante mask that will accompany you home after the event. In addition, you will learn about the cultural heritage and taste our rich gastronomy surrounded by flamboyanes and coconut palms.

The workshop is designed to offer a memorable afternoon to visitors who value art and are interested in learning about the culture of Loiza. It is an ideal experience for those who enjoy learning, creating, and discovering, and are in solidarity with community service initiatives and the development of young people committed to a better future for themselves and their community.

By participating in this event, you will be directly contributing to the music program that teaches young people from 4 to 18 years old, participants of the Melodies of Hope Program.
